The culture and history you will encounter in the Dominican Republic, tops any other Caribbean island. Two of the north coast’s courses were designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. He is a world renowned architect with a great reputation of golf course designs. His 18 hole, 72 par, Playa Dorado Puerto Plata includes eight water hazards and four ocean front holes. The added challenge is you have to play against the Caribbean breeze.
 
Jones’ Playa Grande in Cabrera is another must play. With oceanside views of the dramatic coastline from 10 of its 18 holes, you will have a great scenery all around.

The Santo Domingo Country Club, Inc. was founded on August 12, 1920 by a group of citizens wishing to have a place to play sports, particularly golf and social meetings with friends. The original idea was Mr. Jeremiah L. Manning and was supported by Dr. J.C. Hitchman, F. W. Lehmer, G. H. Lippitt, among others. They signed their first constitution and the charter of the country.
 
The Santo Domingo Country Club, Inc. is an institution whose principles and values ​​are respect, honesty and loyalty to achieve the satisfaction of our partners.

This is maybe not news but where the ball landed is incredible..... The ball somehow made it's way into a woman's shirt as seen in the video below.

What would have been funnier is if the lady would have taken a run towards the green and dropped the ball there or even dropped it in the hole :)
